Draft FY2021 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Open for Public Comment
The draft FY2021 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is complete and available for public comment! The document will be brought to the Policy Committee on April 15 and GVMC Board on May 7 for approval. Both meetings are open to the public, and the public is welcome to comment on the document at that time. Information for both meetings is on GVMC’s UPWP page.
The FY2021 UPWP incorporates all federally assisted state, regional, and local transportation planning activities proposed to be undertaken in the region during the fiscal year as well as GVMC’s annual operating budget. It provides a process for the coordination and collaboration of transportation planning activities in the study area and is required as a basis and condition for all federal funding assistance for transportation planning.
If you wish to comment on the draft document but are unable to attend one of these meetings, comments will be accepted up until GVMC’s Board meeting on Thursday, May 7. The UPWP document is available online or at GVMC’s offices, located at 678 Front Avenue NW, Suite 200, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504. If you would like more information about the UPWP, or to submit comments about it, please contact Laurel Joseph by phone at (616) 776-7610, e-mail, or mail your correspondence to GVMC’s office (see address above). Comments can also be submitted using the “Submit a Comment” button on our UPWP page.
